The colour was quite youthful and vibrant. The nose was complex and tertiary with notes of teak, leather, old furniture, tobacco and truffle. There's still some red fruit flavours in the mouth and whilst tannins have softened it still has plenty of structural support. Each sip offers up something different and there's the ping of some balsamic-like volatility on the finish. JH 2019
