2001 Paolo Conterno Barolo

The 2001 Barolo is a terrific effort for a normale bottling. It displays a deeply spiced nose and layers of smoke, tar, licorice, menthol and sweet dark fruit on a richly structured frame, with beautiful delineation, great length and much overall balance.
