Quite tight at first, but blossoms after a vigorous decant. Loads of spice along with your classic Barolo tar and roses notes. There's a core of red cherry fruit. The palate has stony/earthy savouriness and there's plenty of chew from the wines substantial structure. With more air it becomes more perfumed and balance and length are terrific. JH 2023
