Monvigliero would be , maybe in my top 10 crus of Barolo . Its specific and now highly prized , which is as it should be. Perfumed , but earthy & ferrous , dark cherry , mint , leaning towards liquorice , with a fair bit of spice. Its medium to full bodied , fresh & gently sappy , crushed rock tannin , red fruit , dark cherry & quite some mouth perfume, but its dense & concentrated , despite its vivacity . There is some sage & mint , and the finish it tight , long & focused , with dusty tannin grip , new leather & quiet succulence . very good. 95 point. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
