Albert was kind enough to upgrade us to the single vineyard Brandluft bottling (a wine that retails at $49), whilst labelling it as the standard Riesling. This is an outstanding lieu-dit in the village of Mittlebergheim. The wine is quite savoury and dry. It has tart apple fruit and some gentle florals. It is relatively compact and lean through the mid-palate. It has plenty of saline mineralty and finishes dry and crisp. JH 2024
