A beauty. The top wine of the Château, this is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine is raised in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd use French oak, as well as stainless steel. There's a core of cherry and blackberry fruit here. It has notes of dark chocolate, mint and pipe tobacco too. It is full and creamy rich through the mid-palate. There’s structural support from moderate tannins and a fresh finish that is persistent. It has nice proportion and balance. JH 2024
