2021 Giovanni Rosso Ester Canale Rosso Nebbiolo Langhe

A Nebbiolo that shines for its concentration, it has a bark-like, fleshy character with dark violet and blood orange complexity. The attack is super-rich, tannins vibrant and grainy then polished on the finish, with lively integrated acidity and a sweet note of smoky woodland. One of the best and, not by chance, one of the most expensive Langhe Nebbiolo bottlings. ‘It's a sort of Barolo bottled young,’ says winemaker Andrea Delpiano. Bottled in July 2023, it has been on the market since 1 January 2024. It ages for 12 months in 25-hectolitre barrels.
