Vines over 40 years old - used to be labelled 'Reynard': The 2021 Cornas Reynard might be the wine of the vintage when all is said and done. Deep purple-hued, with gorgeous plum and cassis fruits, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a layered, textured, concentrated mouthfeel, beautiful balance, and fine tannins. It's going to shine with 4-5 years of bottle age and, I suspect, have 15-20 years of overall longevity. 93-95 points. Decanter.
