The 2022 Chablis Vaillon 1er Cru has a taut nose with light sea spray scents infusing the green apple aromas. This is quite austere, considering the season. The palate is well-balanced with yellow plum and tangerine on the entry. It’s slightly low in acidity, but I admire its lilting quality, and it feels persistent on the finish. Very fine. 89 - 91 points. Neal Martin, Vinous.
