2023 Domaine Les Capreoles Axiome

This is older vines Chardonnay, grown on the granite soils of Lantignié .We were most impressed and ordered the final 60 bottles they had, and it lands next week. It has a core of the most delightful white peach fruit. There are white flower notes too and a touch of spice. It has good richness and shape and finishes with a squeeze of grapefruit and some flinty mineral. It is a worthy alternative to white Burgundy from the Cote de Beaune. JH 2025
