Andrea Felici

These are some of the highest regarded wines of Italy’s Marche region and winemaker Leopardo Felici was anointed winemaker of the year in 2020 by the famed Gambero Rosso guide. He was the first to bottle a Verdicchio Riserva under screwcap, believing that it protects all of the hard work done in the vineyard.

We got in touch with Leopardo and arranged for samples to be air freighted out. There are just two wines, both Verdicchio, both sealed with screwcap and both brilliant. They are extraordinary value for money for the quality. 

For an Italian producer, receiving Tre Bicchieri in the famous Gambero Rosso guide is the highest honour they can achieve. All of the top names still submit wines for this award, and they are not given out lightly. The 2020 Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva Il Cantico della Figura was awarded Tre Bicchieri in 2024's guide.
